Costco Shopping in Japan

If you have a Costco membership it works at any location in the world! We decided to make a trip to our nearest Costco in Kobe. Since we don't have a car we took public transportation, an almost 2 hour trip with our suitcases! 

We checked our bags at the entrance, and headed over to the food court. The goal was to buy a turkey and Thanksgiving food for a Friendsgiving event. We went on Thanksgiving day as it happened to fall on an unrelated Japanese public holiday (Thanksgiving is not commonly celebrated in Japan) and we had the day off from work. It didn't cross our minds that it would be packed more than usual for the holiday. 

It took us quite some time to even find a table while we waited for our food. We were about to give up hope when we secured a table just in time for our pizza to be ready. After getting some food in our systems, we were ready to continue on our adventure and go shopping. We successfully found the turkeys and even scored an unexpected pumpkin pie! We just had to pack it all up into our suitcases and drag it back home after the long day at Costco.
